HARDWICK – The annual Hardwick Child Haven benefit will be held on September 26, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Atkin’s Field Pavilion.
The Center for an Agricultural Economy (CAE) will offer 250 free take-home Indian dinners to COVID-affected individuals and families. The meals should be reserved and picked up at the pavilion. To reserve a meal, contact Deborah Hartt at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 472-5284.
Participating restaurants are paid by CAE thanks to generous grants including funding from Everyone Eats, a project of Southeastern Vermont Community Action. Preparing the meal offered at our event will be the Craftsbury General Store and the Buffalo Mountain Food Co-op.
The Child Haven bazaar will feature items from India, Nepal, Tibet and Bangladesh for early holiday shopping.
An on-line benefit auction is available at 32auctions.com/childhavenhardwick. Winning bidders will be notified at noon on Friday, September 25. Payment and pick up of auction items will be at a drop-in event on Saturday.
The event supports the children and staff in children’s homes in India, Nepal and Bangladesh and in an educational support program in Tibet.
