BURKE – Catamount Arts and Burke Mountain Resort have teamed up this fall to pilot a new, live concert model. Vermont’s first-ever vertical concert, inspired by a similar live music model in Ukraine, will use Catamount’s mobile hydraulic stage to play to Burke Mountain Resort’s balcony rooms. Patrons can reserve rooms for the night, order dinner and drinks from The View Pub, and watch the show live from the semi-privacy of their own balconies. Socially distant patio seating is available for attendees who do not reserve rooms. If the pilot is successful, Vertical Concerts may continue being a part of concert programming in the future.
Vermont’s first vertical concert will feature Burlington-based soul singer Kat Wright on October 17 at Burke Mountain Resort. Only 39 balcony room reservations are available, and patio seating is also limited.
Honky-tonk maestro and Burlington music veteran Brett Hughes will open for Wright.
Concert guests are required to adhere to CDC and State of Vermont safety guidelines when attending this event. For more information and to purchase tickets visit catamountarts.org. To reserve a balcony room, call Burke Mountain at (802) 626-7400.
