Photo: GUCC Goes Virtual During Pandemic

Pictures of members of the Greensboro United Church of Christ are displayed on the pews where the congregation normally sits in person to attend their Sunday worship service before COVID-19. Since March 15 the minister, Ed Sunday-Winters, organist Hal Parker and videographer Kyle Gray, have run the Sunday service virtually at 10 a.m. every week on YouTube at Following the service, Judy Dales hosts a virtual coffee hour on Zoom. The picture idea started when the minister shared how hard it was to give a sermon to an empty church. After that, members started bringing in pictures of themselves to help virtually fill the church.
