Sexual Assault, DUI Drugs

On September 29 the Vermont State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation received a report of an allegation of sexual assault. The offender was identified as Joel Sargent, of Woodbury. Subsequently a joint investigation by the Vermont State Police and the Department of Children and Families, Sargent was issued a citation and is scheduled to appear at the Washington County Superior Court, Criminal Division to answer to the charges of Sexual Assault – Parental Role. Court date of November 19 at 12:30 p.m.

The Vermont State Police was notified of a single vehicle crash on Dubray Road in the town of Cabot on November 21 at approximately 8:08 p.m. Upon arrival, Troopers found one male who appeared to be heavily intoxicated laying in the grass off to the side of the road. A single vehicle was located on scene crashed off to the left side of the road. Shane Tetreault, of Walden, became very agitated and aggressive with Troopers and refused to cooperate. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Tetreault on numerous charges. Court date of Monday, November 23 at 12:30 p.m.

On November 23, at approximately 8:15 a.m., the Vermont State Police received a report of a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash on US Rt. 2 in the town of Cabot. Subsequent investigation revealed that the operator, Christopher Thompson, of Walden, was impaired. Thompson was arrested for suspicion of DUI Drugs and transported to Vermont State Police Middlesex Barracks for processing. He was issued a criminal citation to appear in court and released. Court date of January 14, 2021 at 8:30 a.m.
