Studwell Helps Create Documentary

BURLINGTON – Holly Studwell of Craftsbury was part of a team that produced a documentary for a Champlain College senior-level broadcast media production class that will debut on-air during an upcoming episode of “Made Here,” a program from Vermont PBS on Thursday, March 31, at 8 p.m.

The documentary, “Keeping the Farm Alive,” covers the challenges of running a modern-day dairy farm. In addition to Studwell, the team included Luke Marcheski of Squantum, Mass., and Sammie Boyer of Woodstown, N.J.

Other documentaries to be aired include “Canna-Business” — Cannabis entrepreneurs in Vermont;  “Soul Survivor” — Winooski-based musical group A2VT; “Dog Mountain” — Impact of the pet-centered landmark on Vermonters and their dogs; “Pictures in a Pandemic” — Filmmaking students working to finish their senior films during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The film production and airing is possible through a partnership with the station and the college’s Division of Communication and Creative Media.
