Hazen Union Board Accepts Roof Repair Bid

HARDWICK – At the Hazen Union School Board meeting on April 21, the board voted to accept Next Gen’s bid of $137,250 for roof repairs, and approved the use of the building fund dollars to pay for the roof project. Board member Andrew Meyer thanked Tod Delaricheliere for his diligence in keeping the school building repaired and updated.

Principal Jason DiGiulio said he has vacancies for different positions and the number of people applying is less than usual, and that graduation will be outside, rain or shine, and tents will be set up.

Steven Freihofner asked if board members would be willing to have a special meeting, with several members saying they would attend. May 9 and or May 10 are possible dates for the meeting.

The board went into executive session to discuss a confidential student

disciplinary matter, and the board left executive session with no action taken.

Board members in attendance were Steven Freihofner, MacNeil, Christopher Casey, Andrew Meyer, Brett Ann Stanciu, Patrick Kane, Rose Friedman, and Tami Furry, board scribe. Administrators in attendance were Jason DiGiulio. Also in attendance was Tod Delaricheliere. The next meeting is May 19.
