Information on Ticks on May 15
CRAFTSBURY – Ticks are an established part of the Vermont landscape, and knowing how to prevent tick bites and what to do if bitten will reduce the chance of serious tick borne illness. Join the Lamoille Valley Medical Reserve Corps and the Craftsbury Public Library on May 15, at 6 to 6:45 p.m., to learn how to protect from ticks.
The session will present information about tick behavior, prevention techniques, the diseases that ticks carry, and how to safely remove a tick. The Medical Reserve Corps will have information handouts as well as tick removal kits for participants.
