The Bob Seger Experience Performance on June 25

BARRE – Bob Seger’s music put rock and roll back in touch with its roots, and Hollywood Nights brings this experience to life on June 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Barre Opera House. This 10-piece New Jersey-based band has set out to re-create everything about Bob Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band, right down to the smallest detail.
Said Steve Raymond of South New Jersey rock station WZXL in a recent interview, “ …frontman Rick Murphy, who looked like he jumped off the Night Moves album cover, hit all the notes and nuances of Bob Seger vocally. Murphy’s moves, look and voice had me at mach speed in my 1970s-80s time machine. He displayed total raw emotion and believability in each lyric.”
After 50 years on the road, Bob Seger announced his retirement last year. During his career he sold more than 75 million records, making him one of the most successful recording artists of all time. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2012 and was named Billboard’s 2015 Legend of Live honoree. Among his many hits are “Night Moves,” “Mainstreet,” Still the Same,” “Hollywood Nights,” “Against the Wind,” and “Like a Rock.”
Tickets for Hollywood Nights are discounted for members, seniors and students and may be ordered online at barreoperahouse.org or call the Barre Opera House at (802) 476-8188.
