Active Arrest Warrant

On July 11, Hardwick police officers went to Randi Adams’ residence at 2779 Vt. Rte. 15 in Hardwick for a welfare check. While Hardwick officers were there, they observed evidence that Patrick Stacey, transient, was residing in the residence. Patrick Stacey had an active arrest warrant at that time for failure to appear to answer for the charges of 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault with a Weapon, Unlawful Mischief, and two counts of Violation of Probation. When asked by police if he was in the home, Adams denied he was there.

On July 13, Hardwick police officers returned to the residence to execute a search warrant to locate Patrick Stacey. When asked again if Stacey was in her home, Adams again denied that he was. Hardwick Police then entered the residence to search for Stacey and found Stacey hiding in a back closet in the basement. Stacey was taken into custody without incident and brought back to the Hardwick Police Department for fingerprinting and photos. Afterward, Stacey was transported to Northeast Correctional Facility. Randi Adams was then issued a citation for Hindering Arrest and Giving False Information to Police.
