Card of Thanks
Many thanks to all the people who came to White Water Gallery to see my photo exhibit, PROTEST Washington, D.C. 1967, 1968, 1969.
The gallery was open each Sunday over the six weeks between June 5 and July 17, as well as by appointment. My guess is at least 200 people stopped by during that time span. The comments, reactions and messages left in the guest book were warm and wonderful.
Many visitors made donations while at the gallery. The total, $500, was passed on to the Jeudevine Memorial Library addition project.
I am grateful to all who took time to see the photos, to James Tuescher, who owns the gallery, and to the neighbors. The sense of community was real. Thank you all.
