Lamoille County Players Presents “Elf – The Musical” from July 21 to July 31

There are lots of family pairs and even trios in the cast of “Elf – The Musical” at Lamoille County Players this summer. North Pole Elf William Manning teams up with his dad, David Manning of Hyde Park. Manning, the principal of Johnson Elementary School, will portray The Real Santa Claus from July 21 to July 31 at the Hyde Park Opera House.
HYDE PARK – The Lamoille County Players will present their production of “Elf – The Musical,” at the Hyde Park Opera House. The show is based on the 2003 Warner Brothers film, and tells a story of family, true love, and the joy of Christmas. Performances run July 21 to July 24, and July 28 to July 31. Evening shows are at 7 p.m., on Thursdays through Saturdays. Matinees are Sundays at 2 p.m. July 24 is a special bargain matinee, with discounted tickets.
“Elf – The Musical” follows the adventures of Buddy as he leaves the North Pole in search of his birth father in New York City. Along the way, he finds a family and true love, and saves Christmas for Santa.
Patricia Jacob, co-director of the show, says it’s “such a fun show. I know our audiences will thoroughly enjoy it. We have a wonderfully talented and enthusiastic cast and crew ready to show you a great time. The music is a very ‘old-school’ Broadway style with a jazz flavor. The pit band will be savoring every minute of that as we present a cool Christmas in July production.”
