Book Sale and Ice Cream Social on July 30

The Greensboro Historical Society (GHS) will hold their book sale and ice cream social on Saturday, July 30.

The book sale takes place in Greensboro village, across from Willey’s store, in front of and inside the former Lyles Garage. Offered will be hundreds of used books, including novels, mysteries, classics, biographies, books of poetry, cook books, children’s books, books on history, gardening and travel books. All will be for sale by donation from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On the lawn, in front of the Greensboro Historical Society building (next to Willey’s store), from 2 to 4 p.m., the GHS will hold its annual ice cream social. Ice cream and toppings will be available while guitarist, David Brahinsky plays folk music. Participants’ can view this year’s exhibit “Saving Land, Saving History: Land Conservation in Greensboro” along with the permanent Hill Family exhibit. GHS publications will be for sale.
