Quilt Raffle will Benefit Library Expansion

This quilt, by Becky Phillips of Wolcott, will be raffled off to raise funds for the Jeudevine Library Expansion Project.
HARDWICK – A hand-crafted quilt has been donated to the Jeudevine Library by Becky Phillips of Wolcott, for a quilt raffle. Phillips wanted to do something big for the Jeudevine Library Expansion Project. She started quilting while caring for her mother in her final years and a hospice volunteer, Winnie Biddleman, helped her create this quilt. Now the quilt will help raise money for the addition to the Jeudevine Library. Tickets go on sale on Monday, August 15 at the library and soon at other locations in Hardwick. Check out the library website for more information. There is a longer story about the creation of the quilt on the website, jeudevinememoriallibrary.org/adults.
The quilt will be on display at the library, and then displayed in September at the Clip Joint gallery on Main Street.
Tickets cost $5 each, or buy 6 for $25. All proceeds go to the Jeudevine Expansion Fund. The winning entry will be pulled on Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Hardwick Craft Fair. For more information call the library at 472-5948.
