GREENSBORO – The Greensboro Free Library will be hosting two programs featuring the inspiration of artist Vincent Van Gogh. Author Carol Berry, who explored Van Gogh’s love of nature in her book “Vincent Van Gogh: His Spiritual Vision in Life and Art,” will give a talk on Wednesday, August 17, at 4 p.m. This library program for adults will be held at the Greensboro United Church of Christ Fellowship Hall to allow for easy parking access.
On Saturday, Aug. 20, artists Beth Meacham and Nicole Mann will host a Van Gogh Painting Party for all ages from 1 to 3 p.m., under the library’s backyard tent. Participants will paint their own interpretations of a Van Gogh image. Afterwards everyone will show their work while enjoying refreshments and a Van-Gogh-inspired cake. Canvases and paints will be provided. For more information about either program, call the library at (802) 533-2531 or email Library Director Paula Davidson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
