Nominations for October Prevention Honor Sought
MORRISVILLE – Healthy Lamoille Valley is accepting nominations for their 2022 prevention honors. Nominations may include individuals and organizations that are doing work around preventing youth substance misuse and encouraging youth to make substance free healthy choices.
Nominees could include those increasing the protective factors that support youth or working to reduce the factors that put them at risk in the community or people or organizations that support positive youth engagement, businesses that take steps to prevent youth substance use, towns that create safe public spaces and parks or youth coaches that go above and beyond.
Nominations may be made with an online form at surveymonkey.com/r/2022preventionawards. The form may be used multiple times. Awards will be made in October.
Past honorees included River Arts, The Studio Store, Peoples Academy Middle Level Health and Counseling Team, Green Mountain Public Access TV, Riverbend Market, North Central Vermont Recovery Center for their 3-4-50 initiative, Lamoille North Parent Cafes, and youth and individuals involved in health, education and advocacy.
