Leaving the Scene

On August 30, at approximately 1721 hours, Orleans County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Vt. Rte. 16 and The Bend Road in Greensboro. Sheriffs were notified a vehicle involved left the scene of the accident. In conclusion of the investigation, the vehicle was located and the operator was identified as James McCarthy, of East Haven, who admitted to the above crime. McCarthy received a citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court Orleans Criminal Division on Oct. 4.
