East Calais Holds Foliage Celebration

EAST CALAIS – The East Calais Community Trust, in partnership with the East Calais General Store, will host a community Fall Foliage celebration at the Calais Recreation Field on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The celebration will offer food, live music, and activities for the family. There will be an apple pressing for cider and fire trucks from the Woodbury and East Montpelier volunteer fire departments. The Woodbury Broad Band will perform a selection of classic rock, country and folk music from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Coffee and donuts will be provided beginning at 10 a.m. with donations to benefit the reopening of the East Calais General Store in 2023. Hook & Peel Pizza of Woodbury will be selling pizza starting at 11 a.m. Come by to meet and greet with the future East Calais General Store operator and local firefighters.
