NVU Center for Professional Studies Offer Two Free Courses
NORTHEAST KINGDOM – Northern Vermont University and the Vermont State Colleges System are offering courses and training to Vermonters whose jobs were affected by COVID-19. This funding is available for the fall 2022 and spring 2023 semesters while funding lasts. Students may be eligible to take up to two free courses at NVU (or another Vermont State College), that offer numerous training options across many high-demand industries and classes that fit lifestyles to help upskill or reskill as a member of the Vermont workforce.
Fall Boot Camps include: Sustainable Trail-Building Certification Program – Online (Oct. 6 – Sept. 3); Agile Project Management – Online (Oct. 15 – Nov. 12); Customer Service Excellence — NVU-Lyndon Campus (Nov. 12); Supervisor Development Boot Camp – NVU-Lyndon Campus (Nov. 4 and 11); Introduction to Cryptocurrency – Online (Nov. 19 – Dec. 17).
Self-paced classes include: Computing Fundamentals, Customer Relationship Management, Core Java: Fundamentals, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, Effective Help Desk Specialist Skills, MongoDB 4 Quick Start Guide, Python Programming Basics, SQL Queries all in one course with LiveLab, Internet of Things, Microsoft Word 2019, MTA Networking Fundamentals, Networking Essentials, ICT Gaming Essentials and Test Prep, CompTIA A+ Bundle IT Hardware and Software , CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) Certification, Web Design Essentials, Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), PMI – Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP).
