String Recital

Twenty of Kathy Charlestream’s students (coming from towns in Vermont and New Hampshire) presented their fall string recital November 6 at the Greensboro United Church of Christ, which offers exceptional acoustics. The students, ages 6 to 17, played violin, viola, and cello music they had memorized, including a wide range of pieces starting with “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” and stretching to difficult professional-level pieces by Vivaldi, Corelli and Handel. They were accompanied by Bob Wilson on the piano. The ascending skill levels made for performances that held the audiences’ attention throughout the recital. Charlestream is in the second row, extreme right.
