Second Annual Wintermarket

Fifty-nine vendors filled the inside and outside of the Highland Center for the Arts for their Wintermarket held Sunday.

Melanie Miller Hansen of Melanie’s Woven Memories at Thorntree Farm in Sutton displays her art of caning at the Second Annual Winter Market at Highland Center for the Arts (HCA). She also makes baskets, foot stools, benches and restores old pieces. She was one of 59 artisans participating in the HCA indoor/outdoor market.

Wagon rides were provided by Nick Hammond (left) of Greensboro pulled by his draft horses, Abby and Amy.

Wooden sculptures by Ann Young of Barton are located at the beginning of the Open Air Gallery at the Highland Center for the Arts.
