Discussion on Democracy in Vermont Jan. 9

CRAFTSBURY – The Craftsbury Public Library and the Craftsbury Academy 5th grade civics class will host local leaders, including State Representative Katherine Sims, at the Craftsbury Public Library on January 9, at 12:30 p. m. The speakers will discuss how democracy works in the town and state, and there will be time for questions.

A new graphic guide to democracy in Vermont, “Freedom & Unity,” was developed by the Center for Cartoon Studies and the Vermont Humanities Council. Copies are now available to pick up for free at the Craftsbury Public Library. This guide gives an introduction to how democracy works in our state, from Town Meeting to the State House. All are welcome to stop in to pick up a copy of “Freedom & Unity,” and the public is invited to participate in the discussion on democracy in Vermont on January 9.
