On February 24 at 8:41 a.m., the Vermont State Police received a report of phone harassment. Subsequent investigation indicated that Bobic VanderPyl, of Calais, had repeatedly called and left harassing voice messages on the victim’s phone, Sally and George Clark, of Nova Scotia, British Columbia, during the months of January, February, March and April. On April 5, Bobic was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct by Electronic Communication. He has a court date of May 18 in Washington County Superior Court, Criminal Division.

On March 18, at 12:02 a.m., the Vermont State Police responded to U.S. Rte. 2 in East Montpelier for a single vehicle crash. Responding Troopers found the vehicle down an embankment and abandoned. Investigation revealed the vehicle damaged a highway marker post when it went off the roadway. The operator was later identified as Jeremy Maxfield of Cabot, and he was issued a citation for Leaving the Scene of an Accident. He has a court date in Washington Superior Court – Criminal Division on May 4.
