Robin Leight, MD, Joins The Women’s Center at Copley

Robin Leight, MD

MORRISVILLE – After a lengthy search, The Women’s Center has added OB/GYN Robin Leight, MD, FACOG. Dr. Leight is board-certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and brings more than 30 years of experience in women’s health to our community.

“We are delighted to have Robin joining the team,” said Grace Thompson, administrative leader – Women’s and Newborn Services. “The need for women’s health services is growing. Adding a second doctor ensures that we continue to make comprehensive women’s health care services accessible to the communities we serve.”

Dr. Leight will be working collaboratively with Will Ellis, MD, and certified nurse midwives: Kipp Bovey, Erinn Mandeville, Mary Lou Kopas, and April Vanderveer. Her first day at Copley will be May 8.

Dr. Leight received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa. In 1992, she completed her residency in OB/GYN at Reading Hospital and Medical Center. Following her residency, she joined Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility, PC a private practice in Rutland, with hospital privileges at Rutland Regional Hospital. In 2010, the practice, today under Rutland Women’s Healthcare, became part of the hospital. For the past several years, she has served as medical director and section chief.

Dr. Leight has a special interest in laparoscopic surgery, hysteroscopic surgery and surgery for cervix dysplasia (abnormal growth of cells on the surface of the cervix), menopause, pelvic pain and wellness care. She will be seeing patients at The Women’s Center, a practice located in the Health Center Building at Copley Hospital.

Dr. Leight resides in Morrisville. In addition to cooking, she enjoys travelling and outdoor activities, including hiking and biking.
