They were (left to right) back row, Grayson Wood, Maia Boyer, Kieren Schroer and Kathy Charlestream; second row, Raya Mirkin, Oria Boyer, Indriel Boyer, Skye Schroer, Jessie Schroer, Eve Bakowski, Josiah Noel and Montgomery Wood; first row, Freya Donn, Hannah Mirkin and Laila Kromash. The students, ages 6 to teens, played violin and cello music they had memorized, including a wide range of pieces starting with “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” and stretching to difficult professional-level pieces by Bach, Brahms and Vivaldi. They were accompanied by Robert Wilson on the piano. The ascending skill levels made for performances that held the audience’s attention throughout the recital. The Hardwick Gazette
