On July12, at 12:21 p.m., troopers from the Berlin Barracks received a report of an assault on Laird Pond Road in Marshfield. Troopers responded to the area and met with the son, Abdoulaye Daffe, of Marshfield. The victim, identified as Almamy Daffe, of Marshfield, had been taken to the hospital due to injuries. Subsequent investigation lead to the determination that a fight had broken out. Troopers took Abdoulaye into custody and transported him to the Berlin Barracks. Abdoulaye was issued a criminal citation and ordered to appear in Washington County Court, Criminal Division.

On July 12, at 11:24 p.m., troopers from the Berlin Barracks received a report of a tractor on fire on U.S. Rte. 2 in Marshfield. Upon arrival, troopers identified the male operator as Kevin Hudson, of Peacham. While speaking with Hudson indicators of impairment were detected. Hudson was subsequently taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing. Hudson was issued a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court – Criminal Division, and released.

On July 14, at 11:25 a.m., the Vermont State Police responded to a report of an individual passed out in a vehicle on Middle Road in Plainfield. Prior to the Trooper’s arrival, the operator of the vehicle drove from the initial location to the Plainfield Park and Ride. Subsequent investigation indicated that the operator of the vehicle, Justin Gilbert of Cabot, was operating while under the influence of intoxicants. Gilbert was arrested and transported to the Berlin State Police Barracks for processing. He was subsequently issued a citation and released.
