GREENSBORO – The Greensboro Free Library invites aspiring artists of all ages to create their own paintings inspired by the works of Claude Monet at the library’s backyard tent from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., on Sunday, Aug. 20. Artists Beth Meachem and Nicole Mann will host the party, exactly one year after their successful Van Gogh Painting Party. The library will provide canvases, brushes, and paint, while the hosts will show prints of Monet’s paintings. Refreshments and an impromptu art show will complete the afternoon. The program is free and for all ages, but a parent or guardian must participate alongside each young child. Pre-registration is requested to help the hosts plan, by calling or emailing the library at (802) 533-2531 or greensborofree@gmail.com.
