AWARE Adds Social Change Advocate

Hilary Kapusta, AWARE’s social change advocate, is now working out of the AWARE office on High Street in Hardwick. The signs are at the office door and the “All Welcome” signifies that we welcome and honor the diversity of humans, which includes differences in sex, age, race, ethnicity, and national origin, range of abilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, financial means, and education.
HARDWICK – AWARE has added a social change advocate, Hilary Kapusta of Morrisville, who has a lifelong passion for equality, inclusivity and advocating for suppressed communities. The position will help broaden the reach of AWARE’s prevention, advocacy and support for people of all genders, lifestyles and ethnicities who have experienced domestic, sexual and dating violence and stalking. The position will initiate social change opportunities focusing on diversity, inclusion and equity in accordance with AWARE’s mission to promote a violence free community.
AWARE’s executive director, Anna Pirie has announced her retirement at the end of 2023. She has over 25 years of service to AWARE.
