HARDWICK – The Hardwick Huge Used Garment Swap (HUGS) will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hazen Union High School (side entrance). Any unwanted clothing, textiles and footwear may be dropped off Friday, Oct. 20, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Clothing and footwear should be very clean and in good condition. Label the bag with “kids,” “women,” men,” “linen.” Rags will also be accepted. Rags are qualified as anything gross, dirty, ripped, moldy, etc. Put in separate bags clearly labeled “rags.” No hangers will be accepted.

All are welcome on Saturday to take from the clothing available. There is a $1 per person entry donation, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

The garment swap is an effort to keep unwanted textiles out of the landfill or the burn barrel.
